Each year, projects jointly led by teams from SickKids and CHU Sainte-Justine are supported through the Partnership’s core funding programs: the Catalyst Program and the Translational Program.

Dexmedetomidine Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacogenetics, Safety and Efficacy in Neonates and Infants: Improved Knowledge to Facilitate Precision Drug Dosing

Drs. Tamorah Lewis and Celine Thibault will investigate the interaction between pharmacogenetics and pharmacokinetics of various drugs to enhance safety and improve the effectiveness of therapies. Their studies will also provide better guidance on dosages for neonates and infants in intensive care.
