Funding opportunities
Three core funding opportunities have been established as part of the Precision Child Health Partnership:
- Catalyst Program,
- Translational Program,
- Scholarship and Fellowships.
Each year, these programs support high-impact projects and people in paediatric precision health. They are designed to strengthen collaborative research, foster clinical innovation and support the training of future leaders.
Funding opportunities are designed exclusively for SickKids and CHU Sainte-Justine researchers. If you are not affiliated with either institution, you are not eligible to participate.
Current opportunities
Catalyst Program 2026-27
The 2026–27 Catalyst Program is now open. This program provides seed funding to support new collaborative projects between SickKids and CHU Sainte-Justine. Submitted projects must contribute to advancing precision child health and align with one or more of the Partnership’s technological pillars: genomics and other omics sciences, innovative therapies, and data sharing. Selected projects may receive up to CAD $300,000 over two years.

Catalyst Program 2025-26
Special Call for Advanced Therapeutics and Cross-Institutional Data Projects
In this special edition of the Catalyst Program, the PCHP initiated a unique solicitation for projects that focused on innovative therapeutic interventions and projects that facilitated large-scale cross-institutional data sharing. All projects underwent collective assessment, and clearly specified whether they aimed to support either of the aforementioned objectives.
