What is Precision Child Health?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Precision child health is a holistic approach that is transforming how we care for children and youth. It relies on cutting-edge technologies, the latest scientific and medical advances, and genuine engagement with children and their families to better understand their lifestyles and environments. This approach enables us to deliver more individualized, effective care and gives every child the best chance to live life to their fullest potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For years, precision medicine has helped refine diagnoses and treatments to meet the biological needs of each patient. Now with advances in molecular tools, genomics and omic sciences, data analysis and artificial intelligence converging rapidly, we\u2019re poised to enter a new era. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Across the country, organizations like ours are looking at how to achieve Precision Child Health. As two of Canada\u2019s largest research hospitals, SickKids and CHU Sainte-Justine are joining forces to lay the path for truly innovative, individualized care through the Precision Child Health Partnership (PCHP). With our collective expertise in genetic medicine, diagnostics, and patient-centred care, we can bring our shared vision of PCH to life, and create a blueprint others can follow.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the heart of PCH are the voices of patients and families. Their experiences, their hope and expertise guide our focus and inform progress toward a more compassionate and sustainable vision of health.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
